Speedy

[edit]

Though I didn't create the page and haven't any real knowledge of the subject, I found via a quick Google search that the subject is an ostensibly notable character on the program Little Britain, about most of the characters of which we have articles. Even as I may think those articles to be about nn subjects, then, and even as the article needs cleanup and fails to assert notability, I don't think this is a speedy case. Could you please rephrase your comments? Although I have read your remarks several times already, I am still unable to make any sense of what you are trying to say. Folajimi 07:35, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Simply suggesting that speedy deletion was not in order (just after the article was created, an anon editor, probably properly, since the article didn't assert notability or provide context, tagged it for speedy); User:Zzyzx11, having added context, removed the tag, and solid editing has begun (though surely the cleanup tag you've added is appropriate; I'll try to do some cleanup myself tomorrow but I'm not particularly conversant with Brit TV. 416 results doesn't really assert much notability to me. I think it would work better in a Minor characters in Little Britain article or something. (BTW, you can always tell when an anon adding a speedy is me from the misspelled edit summaries; I cannot spell speedy correctly in edit summaries for some reason.) --Rory096 19:13, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Manor

Can her name be a homage to the DeVeres of To the Manor Born? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.173.13 (talk) 21:04, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Accent

[edit]

The article currently states she talks in a nasal upper-class British accent. This isn't really true - she has a very peculiar accent which sounds vaguely South African or 'international', perhaps based on the accent of ageing international 'beauties' such as Zsa Zsa Gabor or Britt Ekland. I don't think Matt Lucas or David Walliams have ever commented on the accent. --Ef80 (talk) 17:11, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
