Maps

[edit]

This article needs a locator map showing the position within Louisa County. It could also use a more readable and detailed map of the interior features. -- Beland 16:17, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why I deleted "bumpkin"

[edit]

I am fairly sure that the word bumpkin has nothing to do with town of Bumpass. I base my opinion on http://etymonline.com/index.php?term=bumpkin and several paper dictionaries. Haplolology 15:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps they were thinking of blumpkin? 173.13.17.25 (talk) 19:49, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation

[edit]

I would think it's bum-pass, but it's just a guess? Is it actually bump-ass? Jaredtalk23:06, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Locals pronounce it like "bump us", with the accent on the second syllable. Anonymous local. 26 Septempber 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.32.44 (talk) 13:03, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
