Celpe-Bras background

Americans have but small reputation for their facility with other languages, and few appreciate the importance of the TOEFL--Test of English as a Foreign Language--to people from other countries enrolling in U.S. universities and colleges. Celpe-Bras is a Brazilian counterpart to the TOEFL, yet is only offered at two universities in the USA as I write.
