Fifth CS Monarch

Hi. The article currently lists four cable ships named CS Monarch, the last of them built in 1945 and scrapped in 1977. However, the list is incomplete. When I worked at British Telecom Research Laboratories in the late 1980s, BT Marine owned three cable ships based at Southampton. They were called CS Iris, CS Alert and CS Monarch. I sailed on the CS Alert in 1988 (laying the first section of the TAT8 transatlantic optical fibre cable). However, I never was on the CS Monarch and don't know anything else about it except that it was smaller than the CS Alert. Dodo64 (talk) 11:40, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
