Title of article[edit]

Is there any special reason why the article is called Cal Durham (comics) instead of Cal Durham? What other Cal Durham would this character be distinguished from? Kaijan 12:15, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It made more sense to name it cal durham comics because there is a CAL - Durham University, and I felt it made sense to leave that entry open to them. --Basique 15:07, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Durham University already has an entry. The "CAL" in the title you mention is, from the Durham University website:

"The CAL Group was formed in 1993 to support the use of IT in teaching and learning. There were regular meetings (see below) and a CAL mailing list. In 2001, the CAL Group became part of the Teaching and Learning Forum."

Explain how Cal Durham is either a superhero or an Atlantean? He is neither, as far as I can see. He is a human water-breather from the US. And while he assisted Aquaman once, he has never been a superhero. Am I missing something? Kaijan 05:19, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Atlantean category also applies to anyone allied with Atlantis doesn't it? And as for the superhero part DC defined him as a hero when he stopped being a villain. I'll make a concession and remove the atlantean tag, but the hero tags stay. --Basique 11:17, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If Aquaman is a hero, and Cal Durham is an ally of that hero, then doesn't that make him a hero? It certainly doesn't make him a villain. By every classical definition he's a hero, he even made the hero's choice so i'm curious what exactly did you want him to be defined as? --Basique 11:33, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a question of being a hero or a villain, since he's neither -- Cal Durham is part of Aquaman's supporting cast. And a very brief part of that cast, since he has made few appearances, none of them within the past 20 years. Still, I won't remove him from that category, since he does fit somewhat, though tenuously. --Kaijan 20:28, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
