I have removed the claim that Campeche has a border with Belize. I have seen a few maps (usually of low resolution and rather sloppily made) which seem to depict this, but maps in good detailed atlases confirm that the north/south borderline of Campeche and Q.R. is somewhat west of the n/s borderline of Belize & Guatemala. Quintana Roo is the only Mexican state with a border to Belize. -- Infrogmation (talk) 19:42, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest looking at this INEGI map of Campeche, which shows the boundary with Belize clearly. You could also consult Google Maps; or, look at the INEGI page giving basic data on Campeche. Spacepotato (talk) 01:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. If that's so, then the border between Campeche and Q.R. has been changed since the 1970s. Interesting. It would be good to know when and how it was moved. -- Infrogmation (talk) 02:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A quick search turned up Ongoing Borderline Disputes in Southeast Mexico, 2006 article on land and boundary is disputed by the states! -- Infrogmation (talk) 02:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Already mentioned (without details) at List of territorial disputes. I've come across some other online articles mentioning this (which has generated a good deal of friction in some of the towns in the disputed area) but no additional substantial details not in the above external link. -- Infrogmation (talk) 03:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flag

[edit]
There is no official state flag, according to the state constitution, chapter 2, art. 5.. Spacepotato (talk) 20:45, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox flag RFC

[edit]

Should this article have a flag inside the infobox? There is a discussion about it at WikiProject Mexico, where you can join and discuss it. (CC) Tbhotch 20:27, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
