"CFDA-SE, due to its acetate groups, is highly cell permeable,...." --> what does it mean?did you perhaps mean cell-membrane permeable?Czecker (talk) 03:53, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What wavelengths are peak absorption and emission? excitation by 488 laser, emission can be picked up with FITC filter (~530/30). don't know the peaks.

"The approximate excitation and emission peaks of this product after hydrolysis are 492 nm and 517 nm, respectively. Cells labeled with CellTrace™ CFSE can be visualized by fluorescence microscopy using standard fluorescein filter sets or analyzed by flow cytometry in an instrument equipped with a 488 nm excitation source." source: http://probes.invitrogen.com/media/pis/mp34554.pdf 134.100.186.1 (talk) 10:49, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See article on CFDA-SE. This article may be incorrect and combined with that article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.246.116.5 (talk) 17:04, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article should briefly explain how this can work e. g. for the tagged cells. If not in this article then it is ok to link to another article, but wikipedia really should have that information. Right now I am trying to find out HOW it works exactly. So yes it may attach to lysines, but how can cell generations be tracked? Won't they be diluted after a few generations? These questions. 2A02:8388:1600:A200:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 11:37, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
