[edit]

I found this page by clicking the wikipedia "random article" link. Is this supposed to be a piece of 'real' history, or is this a joke? When??? Are there any reports from contemporary chroniclers? If this is from some game, or from some historical-fiction-world, would someone be so kind as to list which particular alternate reality is relevent?

I came across this in a similar fashion, and took it upon myself to investigate the external links at the bottom of the page. The first one was dead, the second one was to a forum post asking for more information and should not have been presented as a source in and of itself. I did manage to track down the contemporary sources for this individual - he was referred to by both Zosimus and Ammianus Marcellinus (though the latter may have been a son of the same name) and I've added external links to online versions of the relevant passages.
