They want to gloss over the truth about how Caldwell was betrayed by a "white" man who was supposed to be a close friend.
[edit]The U.S. Congress reported on election violence and Caldwell's assassination, which was set up by a supposed friend--"white" guy named Buck Cabell.Buck lured Caldwell down to a cellar for a toast, which was , in fact, set up to be an ambush. Caldwell was shot in the head, but retreated into the street where he was gunned down by Buck Cabell's friends. A plaque commemorates his life. Brandley 78787 (talk) 12:09, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- Caldwell was betrayed by a "white" man like so many of our black leaders who stood up to white power! The Draft Riots, how do you think black people got caught up in the violence--"white" people who they knew turned on them! That is what white power doesn't want you to study. They want you to be complacent and trust them while they destroy you from the inside out. Brandley 78787 (talk) 12:13, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
