Where does the date of death in this article come from? If it is incorrect ny a year, then it is quite likely that he is the same person listed at [1].--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:26, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no citation for the death date. I think your citation is very likely correct since Hear The Boat Sing [1] says this about him: "The unluckiest of all, however, was probably Charles Rought. A prisoner of war almost from the beginning, he died after eating a bad oyster while waiting to be demobilised after his release, and so technically his death occurred while on active service." Demobilisation would seem to be consistent with a date in January 1919. Suggest changing the date, using the CWGC reference as a citation and adding the extra detail from Hear The Boat Sing.
