Compilations

[edit]

I think the section "compilations" should be removed. It will just grow too big and incomplete and it doesnt contain useful informations. Martious 12:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We should only leave the songs that are not in one of his albums. Martious 22:46, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Tomlin Lyrics

What are everyone's thoughts on adding a link to lyrics by Chris Tomlin? (Jonathan 02:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Adding more to biography

[edit]

Do you think that Chris Tomlin's biography should be expanded into sections such as what has been done with other musicians? If it is in sections, I think that it should be into three sections (The Noise we Make & Not to Us) (Arriving& Live from Austin) and (See the Morning-present).See The Morning 02:59, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Still very much needed. The article presently omits much of the prime of his career, including the present. natemup (talk) 13:15, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would say his work with Breakaway, Dawson McAllister (Shepherd Ministries) and Ross King should be included Jdblundell 20:54, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Biased sentence

[edit]

I can't edit the header for some reason, but somebody ought to remove the line "He is arguably the greatest christian artist of this millenia" since that's clearly an uncited opinion and doesn't belong in a wikipedia article. Not to mention "christian" ought to be capitalized and the proper word would be "millennium," as "millenia" is plural. Sabbrielle (talk) 12:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done You could have done that yourself, though.  :) SKS2K6 (talk) 15:20, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of the "band paragraph"

[edit]

I've removed a short paragraph about his band, for I couldn't find any information anywhere about it.

"Although he is a solo artist, Tomlin uses a consistent band lineup. He writes many of his songs with the band members. The band consists of Daniel Carson (lead guitar, backing vocals), Matt Gilder (keyboards), backing vocals), Timmy Jones(drums) and Matthew Melton (bass, backing vocals). Tomlin plays guitar and piano."

If anyone finds any information please, add it back in or notify me. Awsomaw (talk) 21:41, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Possible vandalism?

[edit]

While I get that names can be what some might consider unconventional, it struck as possible vandalism for his parents to be named ‘Donna’ & ‘Connie’. Too lazy right now to track this down. Will later if no one can verify the names. Thanks! THX1136 (talk) 02:03, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for raising the question. I checked an independent source (Tomlin’s biography on iheartworship.com), and this independent source agreed that his father’s name is Connie. Epicmickeyrocks (talk) 03:47, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
