Challenging the claim about who created "The Connection"

[edit]

A previous edit completely reversed a claim made in the article without stating why. The referenced article states "But [Lydon] didn’t create The Connection; WBUR did, and Lydon was hired six years ago, over several other candidates." --Reader831 08:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Attempt at organization

[edit]

I've added some headers, and tried to reorganize what was in the article so that the sequence of jobs, including the ugly business with WBUR, is coherent, and doesn't interfere with other useful information. The article could definitely use more information about his early (pre-Connection) career, dates of transition (when did the 10-oclock news end? when did he start on it? when was he at the Times?), personal info, and commentary on his journalistic style. Mary McGrath

[edit]

Is she related to New York Times journalist Charles McGrath? He and the entry's subject were students at Yale in the same era.65.88.88.126 (talk) 15:22, 13 August 2009 (UTC)SLY111[reply]

Local Yokel Tries

[edit]

I guess he's on certain NPR stations nationally, but despite its air of breathless hype, the show often has the flavor of a strictly local, Baah-stun broadcast. They cancelled him on WNYC after a brief run in late 90s. 38.131.225.246 (talk) 20:30, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
