Nationality
[edit]Where does the information that "she was Jewish" come from? 217.67.117.64 (talk) 19:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
She wasn't Jewish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.238.110.199 (talk) 09:43, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
pacifist problematic
[edit]I would very much doubt Zetkin would have called herself a pacifist. Most Marxist opposition to war does not come from that tradition and is not in fact opposed to violence per se. As to the Jewish addition, it's a commonplace among anti-Semites and extreme rightists that all Communists are Jews.
Nationality discussion
[edit]"this describes Zetkin as German, not as Jewish"
It also described her as a "jewess", why lie? —Preceding unsigned comment added by No autoaim (talk • contribs) 20:39, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, it does not; it describes hger as a "German socialist". Please indicate excactly where the article makes this moistaken statement, and quote the exact words. And don't accuse me of lying. RolandR (talk) 20:41, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
the source, not the articleNo autoaim (talk) 20:43, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- The source does not include the word "Jewess", and does not state thst Zetkin was Jewish. You are inventing this; I can only speculate why. RolandR (talk) 20:48, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
look at a previous edit then, the source I posted! you can't be seeing the same 1.No autoaim (talk) 20:50, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- I am looking at the source you cite, which you clearly have not read. It does not state that Clara Zetkin was Jewish. If you think it does, please quote the exact phrase used. RolandR (talk) 21:02, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Her place of death
[edit]Arkhangelskoye is a small administrative part of Krasnogorsk and Krasnogorsk Raion, which has an article in Wikipedia only in Russian, Ukrainian and Chechen (ru:Архангельское (городской округ Красногорск). No article in English or any other language of Western Europe in sight. The English article links the word Arkhangelskoye in the sentence about her death to the English article about the Arkhangelskoye palace of the same name in the administrative part. It is questionable whether she really died in the palace; even this article, which only secretly links to it, does not claim that. If there were credible references to a death in the palace, they could be quoted, but if there are no sources, it would be better not to link the word here to the text about the palace.
