Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on January 14, 2009.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that the putrid stench of the "latticed stinkhorn" fungus Clathrus ruber (pictured) attracts insects to help disperse its spores?
Current status: Featured article

Why does it say [edit] [edit] in that one section?

[edit]

In the Edibility section, I see "which lasted [edit] [edit] for forty-eight hours." One of the edits is for that section, the other for the habitat section above. Is it the picture throwing things off, or something else? Dream Focus (talk) 00:00, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I think it's just a bug in the Wiki software, it's fairly common to see multiple [edit]s together. It might be fixed by strategically placing the pictures, resizing your browser window, or more preferably, expanding the text. Hopefully I'll get around to the latter sometime. • The lead and the body give contradictory information on the native and introduced range.
  • In the refs (minor quibbles):
    • Can you expand the acronym "SEA"?
    • Doesn't Mycologia Balcanica have volume numbers?
    • A few foreign-language publications don't have their original titles given. Also, was Minikata (1928) really in English?
  • I added a couple, but had no luck with the Latin one, nor the two Dutch articles (Coolia website doesn't index their issues back that far, unfortunately.) Minikata really was in English; I'd be able to add a PDF link except that that one particular volume is missing from their website. Sasata (talk) 17:19, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Otherwise looking good. Ucucha 16:18, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the fixes; I'm happy to pass this article now. Ucucha 18:01, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
