Fair use rationale for Image:Claude Makelele.jpg

[edit]

Image:Claude Makelele.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Makélélé or Makelele?

[edit]

Hi, I'd like to point out that the name is written "Makelele" and not "Makélélé". Even if the name with diacritics is frequently found, most sources, and especially the most important ones (like the website of Chelsea FC or the French FA) write it without them. That's why I think the page should be moved to the right title and all the links fixed. PieRRoMaN 20:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do the Makelele

SOURCE?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by PloKoon13 (talkcontribs) 13:07, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this can be attributed to a troll - residing in belgium, there is no hit I know of during the summer of 2008 that has Makelele as it's singer, nor does it reference Bean, and there was no cover of said tune in the charts, to my knowledge (and checking online) Criticalmess (talk) 22:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Makélélé Role"

[edit]

Ive removed it from the article. It sounds quite absurd IMO and Ive never heard of anything remotely like this, for other players or positions. If someone can find a source for it that would be nice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.210.64.214 (talk) 13:43, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

done. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:53, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name with accents

[edit]

On what basis are we calling him Makélélé and not just Makelele? I can't find any sources that refer to him as such — is this the French way of writing it? I think there could be an argument for moving it to Claude Makelele per WP:Common name. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 01:30, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Claude Makelele.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Claude Makelele.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
