Text and/or other creative content from this version of Semantic URL was copied or moved into Clean URL with this edit on 12 January 2017. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |

Made up non-notable term
[edit]"Semantic URL" is made-up non-notable jargon and should be deleted or have the content moved to another page perhaps about URL redirecting/rewriting and incorporate use-cases accordingly.
None of the cited references as of 2017-11-09 refer to "Semantic URL".
This looks like original work on Wikipedia.
Not knowing the precise templates to add to add these warnings (uncited, non-notable, original work, should be merged), I'll leave that to other editors to add if they agree. Tantek (talk) 20:00, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
Update, added notability template. Tantek (talk) 21:04, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Tantek: You're completely right. I don't know why I didn't notice that in 2014 when I acted on the merge proposal. I've now moved the content back to Clean URL and stripped out any mention of "semantic URLs". — Scott • talk 15:46, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Keep
[edit]As for size: There are much shorter articles in the wp.
As for jargon: There are articles especially listing internet jargon.
As for deleting: Do you really want to wait until there are at least two notable books, from notable publishers, about this subject, meaning: do you really want this wp to stay behind years of the actual life?
As for merge: I have encountered many articles which, in a sub heading, lead to a sub-article.
