Checking against GA criteria

[edit]
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
The article is reasonably well written. I made a number of copy-edits.[1]
There are a large number of stray sentences, please consolidate into paragraphs.
I have tried to combine some of these
  1. Walton Castle is a 17th century fort located on a hill Which hill?, as they are all mentioned this would help.
Done
  1. Clevedon Court lies at the other end of the town, can you phrase this better, other end from what? As Walton Castle hasn't been located this doesn't help the reader.
Done
  1. The lead contains information not in the artcile, e.g. the origin of the town name.
Moved
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
References all appear to be RS, no evidence of OR
  2. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
History - is there nothing available from the period between Domesday and the Victorian era?
No not really - I've added a sentence based on the town councils description of it as a small quiet agricultural village, but it doesn't seem to have any involvement in anything notable enough to have been written about.
  1. Production of penicillin, why, where?
Expanded & hopefully explained
  1. Economy could do with some expansion. No mention of tourism is made.
I can't find any sources which talk about numbers of visitors or contribution of tourism to the economy etc - although I've looked at hundreds of sites about accommodation available etc
  1. Demography (or should that be Demographics?). Consider expanding with breakdowns by ethnic origin, age bands, etc.
I've added something about age, religion & economic activity
  1. Although the poets are mentioned later on, some explanation of the name Poet's Walk is needed.
Done
  1. Unveiled in June 2000, the 5 ft (1.5 m) tall sculpture cost £9,000 Name of sculptor, who raised the money?
I've added a bit more - the best source I could find was Geograph - hope this source will be OK as RS?
  1. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  2. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  3. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  4. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
