[edit]

This article reads like a brochure half way through. It needs to be cleaned up as there is a good deal of history regarding the Clifton Hill area apart from it's current status as a tourist area. Information can be found here: http://www.iaw.com/~falls/clifton.html

I will update this as I have time.--Avwhite 17:28, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Doesn't it, though? It needs to strike a better balance and walk that tightrope (like the Blondin mockup) between attractiveness and tackiness. The place is a lot like International Drive in Orlando, Florida. Wahkeenah 17:50, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Blondin

[edit]

In regards to the last edit, Blondin is back but not on the Hill itself. It's up and around the corner on Victoria avenue. I suppose it's still the general "Clifton Hill Area" though so I'll leave the edit.

What is it?

[edit]

Is it a town? A street? A part of town? It may say at some point in the article but it should be stated in the first sentence. · Tygrrr... 18:37, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a street, or more specifically, an area consisting of a street or two, as far as I know, despite the fact that I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario. From Lundy's Lane, you go down to the corner of Main Street and Ferry Street ("Main & Ferry" is a notorious area, mostly populated by prositutes, believe it or not). From Ferry street, you can reach Clifton Hill. 67.68.39.194 (talk) 01:47, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A problem with the article that needs to be addressed is that the start of the page describes the street, but later sections describe locations that are in proximity to the street but aren't actually on the street (e.g. Nightmares Fear Factory, Planet Hollywood). I propose that a separate section be created for places that share the overall Clifton Hill spirit but aren't actually on the street. 108.180.241.60 (talk) 14:56, 11 September 2014 (UTC)Andy Nystrom[reply]

Outdated pics

I think we should remove the pic of the Hulk ride, they no longer have the Marvel rides there.--Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (talk) 23:35, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NOT 4D

[edit]

The Moving Theatre is not 4-D, I was just there on vacation, it just moves, it's not 4-D. 4-D is when its 3-D as well, but sure they had water splash everywhere, but there was no 3-D imagery, so technically its not 4-D.--Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (talk) 20:03, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As I mentioned in the edit summary, the business name is "Ripley's Believe It or Not 4D Moving Theatre", it's irrelevant whether or not it's "4D", it's a title not a descriptor. If the name of a restaurant is "World's Best Hamburgers" and it appears in Wikipedia, it doesn't really matter if in actual fact their products truly are the "world's best hamburgers" or not, it's the name of the restaurant, not a comment on how good their food is. regards Deconstructhis (talk) 21:27, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
