all caps?

[edit]

Why is the name of COMPASS typed all in capital letters? Is it an acronym?Zebulin (talk) 06:47, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New version of the page

[edit]

Hi, I have written a new version of the page with some more details. I have some formatting difficulties: (i) I don't know how to make a caption to the figure appear: when I set it to "thumb" it becomes small; ideally I want it to have a large size but have a caption and possibly a frame; please help. (ii) I don't know how to center the table --Asimsky (talk) 08:42, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All caps ??

[edit]

Basically yes, I agree. There is no stable convention yet on the naming of COMPASS, but in my view "Compass" is better because this is not an acronym. Indeed, we write GPS and GLONASS in capitals because they are acronyms; Galileo is not an acronym, so it is most of the time written as "Galileo". Compass is probably the same. Please feel free to change (taking care of the refs to this page). --Asimsky (talk) 08:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

page moved

[edit]

To me it is OK like this; I don't see the need to remove the "COMPASS" page completely;--Asimsky (talk) 16:19, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
