Name
[edit]Shouldn't the name of this page be Mavic Pro? That's the official name of the product. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Namik (talk • contribs) 22:57, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

More Specs
[edit]I was trying to research what sort of communications it is capable of over what frequencies and protocols. Didn't find that info here so if somebody can add that in, that'd be great. --Waqqashanafi (talk) 13:33, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
Started Section: Mavic Air– Help Needed for Mavic Air
[edit]I added the section Mavic Air as an actual section and added two pictures. I'd like to expand the Mavic Air section so it could be just as informative as the Mavic Pro information is. I started off with the subsection Controller but I added a [citation needed]. Hopefully, we can expand the Mavic Air section which would surely raise this article's class. Rename?
[edit]The reasoning for the current name of the article is rather unclear. DJI does not market the standalone "Mavic" name for its drones, but rather DJI Mavic [model]. Therefore the article name, while still encompassing all the models that share that Mavic designation, should be "DJI Mavic" or "DJI Mavic series". Please comment. Mavic (unmanned aerial vehicle) → Mavic (unmanned aerial vehicle series) – It's series of unmanned aerial vehicles, not one unmanned aerial vehicle. Eurohunter (talk) 20:57, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose. The current disambiguiator is quite concise enough. Andrewa (talk) 08:04, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

Mavic (unmanned aerial vehicle) → DJI Mavic – WP:NATURALDAB/WP:CONCISE shorter name using natural disambiguaiton instead of parenthical disambiguation, a common way to indentify products/product lines, using the manufacturer, such as IBM Personal Computer / Boeing 747 / Bell 212 / SpaceX Dragon / Atari 2600 / Honda Accord / etc -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 03:24, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Mavic, Air and Mini branding
[edit]@Stewyg86:: DJI's quadcopters have a quite distinct implementations between the different model series. Phantom, Mavic, Avata, Inspire, Matrice, and Agras are all distinguishable regarding technology and software. Within this, the DJI Mavic, Mini, and Air, separated now into their brands, are all very close to each other regarding technical implementation and appearance. The Air 2S is the direct successor to the Mavic Air 2, and the Mini 2 is a successor to Mavic Mini. Mini SE is also internally the same as the Mavic Mini. So, Wikipedia does not have to follow companies' branding strictly. We can make our own choices about how we group content, and in this case, drones under Mini and Air can be covered in the Mavic article as successors of the original Mavic branded models. -- Zache (talk) 07:26, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
