The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 17:22, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Daang Hari Road → Daang Hari – This article is the primary topic for the name "Daang Hari". Since Daang Hari already redirects here, we might as well move it there. The current name sounds kinda redundant actually, and therefore is unnatural, because daan means road. pandakekok9 (talk) 03:43, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

- Comment the article is the primary topic for the suggested title hence the redirect, but i disagree that theres issue with redundancy, as this is the English WP and the native name is normally attached with a standard English word descriptor, in this case road, which makes it tautological like Lake Danao (Leyte). The question is, is disambiguation needed to distinguish this road from the barangay or the school? ;)--RioHondo (talk) 14:10, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- There's already a separate dab that covers the two. pandakekok9 (talk) 12:28, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, i created that dab page. But being the primarytopic does not mean it cant retain its current disambiguated title. Never mind ;)--RioHondo (talk) 14:06, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

English word descriptor
[edit]RioHondo, I'm interested in your comment on this above. It didn't seem to affect the consensus to move so I thought it OK to move on. But how would it apply to the Champs-Élysées for example? Andrewa (talk) 17:27, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, but IMO Champs Elysees is right where it should be per WP:COMMONNAME. At least popular non-English streets get to be called by their native names, but you can find other similar examples at List of tautological place names#Human structures. While i didnt object to the move, i was only saying this practice is not exclusive to Philippine places.--RioHondo (talk) 15:40, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
