Reverted page move

[edit]

I reverted the last move from Darvaz to Dārvaz because Darvaz is the most commonly used Englis language transliteration for this region (See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(use_English)). In fact, when Dārvaz is entered into a google search, more than 35,000 hits appear but nearly all (99.99%) are of the spelling Darvaz. Scrolling through the first 100 results on google, I could only find pages that refer to this wikipedia page that used Dārvaz. In addition, the use of ā in the transliteration of Persian to English does not appear anywhere on the Romanization_of_Persian page here at Wikipedia. Besides linguistic reasoning, the original move did not employ the Wikipedia protocol of first posting a move template (Template:Move) and then posting a move request (Wikipedia:Requested_moves).
