I suggest the following example (please note the additional using for mycommand and avoiding string concatenation):

    using (SqlDataReader myreader = mycommand.ExecuteReader())
    {

      {

      }

      while(myreader.Read())
      {
        Console.WriteLine(string.Format("{0}:{1}", myreader.GetValue(0), myreader.GetTypeName(0));
      }
    }
  }
}
