In the Kebra Nagast?
[edit]Is he the David of Ethiopia mentioned in the chapter 54 of the Kebra Nagast? I mean, this David is Menelik rebaptised, but I'm wondering if this king David couldn't be like and historical base for certain parts of the Menelik legend from the time he adopts this name... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.244.11.49 (talk) 20:32, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- The Kebra Negest was written centuries before he was born. His regnal name was taken after the biblical King David. — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 23:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
