- ... that at over 400 pounds (180 kg), Desmond Watson is one of the largest players in NCAA Division I football history? Source: The Naples Daily News ("Florida's spring practice has wrapped up, and one number generated more curiosity, conversation, anticipation and speculation than any other: 432. That's what the scale showed when freshman Desmond Watson stepped on it. Visions of dominant, space-eating defensive tackles like William "The Refrigerator" Perry started dancing in fans' heads. The Fridge was a mere 330 pounds. Watson is an entirely different appliance. The early enrollee might be the heaviest player in Division 1 history, which could be good or not so good.")
Moved to mainspace by BeanieFan11 (talk). Self-nominated at 15:06, 20 July 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Desmond Watson; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- The hook is both interesting and sourced. The article is long enough and within policy. Looks like the nom was made just shortly outside of the 7-day period after article was moved to mainspace but willing to IAR that because the hook is interesting and shouldn't really be a penalty for being that marginally outside of the 7-day window. Earwig doesn't pick up any copyvio potential. Just need the QPQ and should be good to go for the DYK section. Soulbust (talk) 04:26, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
