The atlas cited in this article is not quite right. See
for the text of the order in council that created the 4 provisional districts. The northern boundary of Alberta and Saskatchewan was set at the 18th correction line, slightly north of 55 north. In the map on this page, and in the reference it is depicted as a line further south than that, possibly the 18th baseline, or maybe the 17th correction line.
