Awards

[edit]

Oddly my references from Knoll and Herman Miller are in conflict over the Design of the Decade Award. See: herman miller on chadwick vs knoll on chadwick. The latter claims the 1990 Time magazine design of the decade award for the Equa, while the former claims the 1999 Buisness Week and IDEA design of the decade award for (Herman Miller's) Aeron chair. This is confusing, and needs to be clarified. Dlamblin (talk) 22:17, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like both are correct: different awards, and different decades. One source that mentions both awards is on Google Books (Space planning for commercial and residential interiors, by Sam Kubba), although it doesn't mention the designers. There is an article on emeraldinsight.com that appears to mention the awards and the designers (although I don't have access to the text). snigbrook (talk) 09:58, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don/Gordon

[edit]

Don Chadwick was born in 1936. Gordon Chadwick became a partner with George Nelson in 1947. The math doesn't work. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 20:57, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, but I would point out that Don Chadwick IS the fellow who won the design awards listed in the article that you removed. Please restore the awards section. - Ken keisel (talk) 22:29, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
