Military service
[edit]Details about Irwin's military service is unclear. Upon reviewing a few secondary sources, it appears that he served in the Army at about 18 years old, to include with the Joint Brazil-United States Military Commission. However, based on a cursory search of the Fold3 database, there is no primary sources found showing that he served in the military. It would be helpful to include his rank. Without that information, it is possible to conclude that he served in the army in a civilian capacity. At this time, "Category:United States Army soldiers" is added to the article, but the above issue about his rank should be resolved in the future to verify this category is correct. Semper Fi!
