Douglapedia
[edit]I don't like the links to Douglapedia, it seems against Wikipedia policy, specifically the External link policy. What might be better is creating a Douglas Academy page in Commons files, and linking this from this article with {{commons|Douglas Academy}}, which would show this box on the right.

- Please don't put it on commons, it is not appropriate content for Commons. Mak (talk) 14:42, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Music
[edit]I have to say that I wasn't particularly impressed with the music teachers at Douglas Academy, as they do not seem to appreciate enough of a range of music, and it would seem the head of the music department Mr Norval has an anger problem. To call them excellent is a hell of a stretch, they aren't even that good.

- Done. Just took out the word "excellent".
Music school date
[edit]I don't think the music school can have started in '73. I think it started in my 3rd or 4th year and I started in '75.
Improvements
[edit]Hi just to say I plan to do a bit of work to bring this up to the same level as pages like Boclair Academy and Bearsden Academy. I'm going to be adding/changing a lot so if you have any problems AT ALL please let me know here or on my talk page. Thanks. OrangeM16 (talk) 21:11, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Detail / promotional tone
[edit]My edit was undone - I don't want to edit war so just logging that I think the srticle is too detailed (eg French exchange - this is not an unusual feature of a UK school; feeder schools - not usually listed). It also has promotional language at times and alack of references. Eg "The new Douglas Academy building replaced the old school with a modern new look from the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year; now enjoying, yet still within the original school grounds, facilities fit for 21st century purpose" and "As well as developing instrumental and vocal skills, it is also the aim of the school to provide a balanced, modern curriculum to enable students to go forward to the college or university course of their choice". Yup. The article is embarrassing fanboy material. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.77.166.164 (talk) 13:21, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
