I stumbeled upon this article while doing reserch to a specific Dreffa Chronograph from the 60's. I am a watch collector since some years and have some remarks or proposals to the article. First of all please have a look at http://www.sometimeago.com/the-smaller-watch-brands-dreffa-geneve/ where most of the information is taken from. Its mostly a commercial. No real value regarding info over the brand Dreffa in relation to other brands of that time or the quality of their timepieces. They where never luxury, thats reserved to "the three" meaning Patek Philippe, Vacheron.. Audemars... (PP, VC, and AP). And there was rolex, omega, heuer, longines, zenith. Dreffa used cases and movements supplied by specialists in swizerland that provided these parts to the many smaller Brands that offered good value for the money stuff like, yes you got it, Dreffa. :-)
