Original definition

The original definition was: A drill is a tool or machine for boring holes.

I edited it because boring is a process of enlarging and straightening an existing hole. Drilling is the cutting of a hole in a material where none existed before. Core drilling is the enlarging of an existing hole using a kind of drill (the tool not the machine). Boring is its own process. Begs (talk) 06:40, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is with "Drilling(move) nailing a cheeky bit of sort" That doesn't seem to make sense, and it seems to be in here erroniously.
