EPR in comms

[edit]

Would anyone be able to help add in a section on damage to equipment and safety hazards connected with EPR along telecommunication lines?CecilWard (talk) 18:40, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Needs the stick man drawing

[edit]

Every standard I've ever seen has the stick man drawings showing the definitions of touch, step and transferred potential. This is a threat that if some more artistic editor doesn't take on this assingment, I may be forced to inflict my own stick-man drawing on the Wikipedia. --Wtshymanski (talk) 15:04, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OSHA reference on the Standards section is inaccurate

[edit]

It is just not true that OSHA Appendix C of 29 CFR 1910.269 contains any regulation. Appendix C to 1910.269 is clearly non-mandatory and specifically states in Footnote 1 of said Appendix that it "provides information". Another clue is that no paragraph of the Appendix imposes any duty by using the word "shall". The reference should be to Paragraphs (n) and (p) of said standard, while Appendix C is merely informative. 146.23.68.40 (talk) 17:03, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can be fatal

[edit]

"Step potential" (the term used in Australia) can result in "injury or DEATH". This needs to be stated in the article. (as does alternative terms for the phenomena) 122.151.114.133 (talk) 10:13, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's in the lead. Step potential is just part of what this article is about. --Wtshymanski (talk) 14:22, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
