I have created this page, as it was highlighed in red in the list of topics about India. I would be regularly updating and improving the article. Everyone, kindly start contributing.User:Janmeda 1989 1550 hrs, 29 Nov 2011(India)

I tried to copy edit the best I could. There are a couple ambiguities. For example, you wrote that this city has universities which place a large emphasis on Art. Yet, the "universities" section doesn't mention any art degree programs at all.
Also, in the first paragraph you mentioned that the city is known for it's education and that many people come to the city for that reason, but in the second paragraph you said that the education in the city is inadequate. I assume that the second paragraph was talking about primary and secondary education, but the first was universities. But maybe you could clarify that a little, it seems like a contradiction.Editfromwithout (talk) 19:41, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Degree and Streem colleges?

[edit]

In regards to this section:

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board caters to 5 Medical(Degree) stream colleges, 1 Agriculture University, 10 Diploma to Degree stream colleges, 16 Engineering (Diploma) stream colleges, 1 Hotel Management and Catering stream college, 2 Post-Graduate Medical (Diploma/ Degree) stream colleges, and to 10 Engineering Degree stream colleges in the state.

I understand a degree college, but normally all colleges or universities give you some type of degree, at least in the U.S. Can someone clarify what a "stream college" is?Editfromwithout (talk) 19:38, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
