Thanks for catching the errors in my last edit. Yes, cherries are not berries and ripening is not limited to the N hemisphere or even N America, probably. I enjoy plants but am not a professional in the area so your edits are great.

Its usual and standard for the summary style of the info box to include content in the article, so no reason not to include species and even genus in the article, However, just noting my objection and not worth a revert. Best wishes.(Littleolive oil (talk) 18:49, 7 March 2014 (UTC))[reply]

It is a good point that the species name in the cultivar box is abbreviated. I've added the species name to the text now. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 22:19, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
