I will take a look at this. Review coming over the next few days. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 12:15, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Redman for reviewing my nominee. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:18, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Origin of name
[edit]- "although they have had professional and foreign players in the past." Needs reference.
- I'll try to find a source, but I think I added this based on the Notable Former players section, which includes professional foreign players. Could that simply suffice under Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue based on the fact that having former players of that status in the article to confirm that? RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:28, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Chencinski and Osei are the only ones that stand out for me. If you think that's enough and struggle to find a ref then leave it like that. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 15:36, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- I think it's enough because it shows that not all were Finnish and/or amateur. They also currently have a German coach. I could mention that. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:33, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- I think it should be mentioned. After that I would say we're done here. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 10:36, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

History
[edit]Formation
[edit]- "In their first season, the club finished in 3rd place in the third tier" Ref needed here as well
Bankruptcy and re-formation
[edit]- "However, a last-ditch fundraising effort saved the club from folding completely." source?
- Got rid of this, since the only source that said it seemed dubious and not reputable. Another Finnish source I cited found seems to disprove this. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ref 32 seems a bit dubious to me. it says that they defeated Crystal Palace 5-0 instead of losing, which doesn't install confidence in me. As there is already a source for the sentence in question I would say remove it.
- Done. Looking at it, it seems like a bad source and not reputable anyways. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ref 33 claims that they have played in the second division. Is there any other evidence to support this? If their is then is should definitely be added
- They played in the third tier Kakkonen. Kakkonen is the Finnish word for Second/Two. So Kakkonen translates as Second Division. So they played in the "Second Division" which is the third tier. That's why the article says that. It's one of those issues with so many countries Division names don't line up with the tier they are at because different organizations run the top tier. It like how the Tercera Division is the Spanish 4th (soon to be 5th) tier. It's the same for the other divisions as well Kolmonen means Third (but is fourth tier), Nelonen means Fourth (but is the 5th tier). RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Understood. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 15:26, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

- "They announced they would re-launch a full men's team, in the Finnish national system, in January 2021. They plan to re-enter at the fourth tier. Would be nice to have a update on this at it is now January.
- 2021 divisions haven't been announced yet, likely due to the pandemic. I can change it to "hope to enter" or "goal of entering" for now, if that's better to represent uncertainty. Kakkonen usually starts in late April (last year started in June), so there's still some time left for them to announce divisions RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- I think it would be better to change it. Right now it reads like they are starting in January 2021 which they aren't. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 15:25, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Fixed. changed it to "for the 2021 season". I didn't realize it said Janaury 2021 before, so I see that confusion. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:34, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Seasons
[edit]- Again this would need updating to reflect the current state of things if they have re-entered the football pyramid.
- See previous. I'll check for updates every so often and fix once confirmed. RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
References
[edit]- Most of the refs seem to be devoid of accessdates.
- Should I just put today's date if all the links are active, or should I backdate them to when they were added? RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:16, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- I usually just put in the current date when doing this. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 11:08, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- Done, added for all RedPatchBoy (talk) 18:34, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
