Re: the third sentence, History, [The program was created to mate men and women at the newly co-ed institution.], as much as I might have wished that were the purpose, mating was clearly not the purpose of founding the circus. Maybe better wording might be "bond" or "facilitate communication between" in place of "mate".

I was a student at FSU in 1946-47, 1962-63, and 1965. I was 'a friend' of the circus in the 62-63semesters.

"Unlike professional circuses, FSU has no animal acts." - since when does a circus have to have animal acts to be considered professional?? 66.191.227.198 (talk) 17:22, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The references to Callaway Gardens are the only text that I see that looks like an advertisement. That text should be removed because that partnership no longer exists. 146.201.53.80 (talk) 19:55, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

FSU Circus Wikipedia page is full of old information that is no longer true

[edit]

Various things are no longer true for this page.

- In the opening paragraph, please remove the line about the FSU Circus being one of two U.S. circuses and referencing the Gamma Phi Circus. Their wikipedia listing has no mention of The FSU Circus, and the FSU Circus has no connection to their program. Further, it is not such an important piece of information that it needs to be in the third line about a program that is over 75 years old.

- The Curriculum section needs to be removed. The FSU Circus no longer offers a one credit course and hasn't in over 5 years.

- Under Performances and touring, several items need to be removed. 1.The FSU Circus does not perform at Callaway Gardens. That partnership ended years ago and should be removed from the page. 2. The FSU Circus is not available for hire for weddings banquets or other private events. 3. The Halloween Show Series is not a recent addition to the program,. The FSU Circus has been running that performance series for over 10 years.

- The logo that has the FSU Circus wheel is not the official FSU Circus Logo. Those images can be found here - https://circus.fsu.edu/sites/g/files/imported/storage/original/image/f4b8632a8d9223e0ce85fcac465c9947.tif

- The tent photo included is an old image of the previous tent that hasn't been in use in over 12 years. A more appropriate image can be found on the FSU Circus' official Flickr page, which can be found here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/163469660@N04/albums 146.201.53.80 (talk) 19:46, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
