Fair use rationale for Image:Edildejesus.jpg
Image:Edildejesus.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Award of damages
This is the first in Philippine education and law HISTORY, that a law school is punished in torts and damages: The Supreme Court of the Philippines on May 8, 2008, reversed the judgment of the Philippine Court of Appeals and ordered Far Eastern University to pay over P 200,000 in damages to its law student Joseph Saludaga who was shot by the school's security guard in the school's premises in 1996. The high court also ordered reimbursement to FEU, by FEU's security agency, Galaxy Management Corporation, and its president, Mariano Imperial.Inquirer.net, SC orders FEU to pay P200,000 to student shot by guard --Florentino floro (talk) 12:42, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:FEU Tamaraws logo.gif
The image Image:FEU Tamaraws logo.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
The following images also have this problem:

Recent changes
Two users with the same pattern of editing, one anonymous and one registered as "Unending247" have made edits that do not comply with WP:NOT and WP:NPOV. The edits also rely on a 1955 source that cannot possibly substantiate claims pertaining to anything post-1955. Until these problems are addressed, I will have to revert the changes. Okay, so the protection given the page has expired, and the same anonymous users and Unending247 have simply reinstated the same old edits that are not compliant with WP:NOT, WP:NPOV, and WP:COPYVIO. This is vandalism already. Rmcsamson (talk) 06:35, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Removing duplication; Further article development
I am removing the article that was posted here. The contributor, who has been speaking with me about how to reach consensus, was advised to link to his sandbox and discuss his proposed changes, but I think perhaps did not understand that advice. The full material posted is here.
This contributor is seeking consensus to include some of this new information (the top part is already present) in the article.
I believe some of this information is non-controversial, such as the list of Institutes, Colleges and Schools and the lists of publications (eta: already there). I think the list of Student Organization is unencyclopedic and overwhelms the article. I've looked at several FA university articles, and these do not seem to include such exhaustive lists. Likewise, I think that the international linkage section is overwhelming and, while appropriate in full detail for the university's website, is not appropriate for an encyclopedia article.
There are problems with the research centers & athletics section in that I realize now that these contain text that were present in the article before it was cleaned of copyright infringement. New text would have to be provided to avoid licensing issues, although I think that the Athletics section proposed is now nicely neutral.
Since the contributor who wants to add this information is a few edits shy of being able to edit directly, I'll go ahead and add what I believe to be non-controversial as above. I'd be pleased to hear from others interested in the development of this article about the suitability of the other material. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:47, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have revised the athletics section so that it is usable, including neutralizing the only remaining non-neutral text: "world class athletes". Reference outside of the school is needed to verify that these athletes are world class. I've also removed multiple references to Elements of Public Speaking, which (so far as I know) is a source that I introduced to the article and which does not substantiate this new information. Sources must verify information, or they cannot be used. I am in the process of verifying that the other cited source substantiates this information. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:24, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
