Claim of "disputed" evidence of allergic reactions
[edit]The notion from the Health effects section that "the evidence that farnesol can cause an allergic reaction in humans is disputed" is a bit of a stretch given the reference cited. Firstly, the reference is a quite opinionated survey essay, or spin, from a lobby organization for the fragrance industry itself. Secondly, and more importantly, credibility notwithstanding, the cited reference does not actually identify farnesol as one of the substances in question. Instead, Farnesol is listed in the category "rarely found as allergens". The "disputed" claim is unsubstantiated, and should be removed or at the very least heavily modified. In general, in my opinion, citing trade organization spin as evidence without identifying it as such is not a useful practice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Einarius70 (talk • contribs) 21:22, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
