Outdated list of judges?

[edit]

The list of judges seems outdated. For instance, Uwe Scharen cannot be found, while he seems to be presiding judge of a division (Zenat). Or am I missing something? --Edcolins (talk) 15:23, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The list of the senats and the judges being actual members of that senats exists under Besetzung der Senate des Bundesgerichtshofs . And I do not really get the concept of this devision of the article: Is Federal Court of Justice of Germany#Judges about all judges in the history of the BGH or only about the judges actual working there or a mixture? --pistazienfresser (talk) 03:24, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of arms

[edit]

Greetings. I noticed that the coat of arms of germany is being shown here. The BGH has an own logo (shown here: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundesgerichtshof#/media/File:Bundesadler_Bundesorgane.svg ). Is there a reason for using the other one? 87.154.214.13 (talk) 16:39, 15 March 2017 (UTC)Oi0815nw[reply]

List of judges

[edit]

I intend to remove the sections "Judges" and "Presiding Judges". At present, the Federal Court of Justice has 152 judges. <https://www.bundesgerichtshof.de/DE/DasGericht/Organisation/organisation_node.html>. Maintaining a list of BGH judges would require someone to constantly monitor the press releases of the court and/or all revisions of and amendments to the Geschäftsverteilungsplan. At the same time, the benefit of maintaining such a list seems very small; hardly any of the judges has a Wikipedia article and the important information of which panel a given judge is a member of is even more volatile than the composition of the BGH judiciary, and providing it here in this article is further complicated by the presence of part-time assignments to multiple panels. The present state of the list, which is heavily outdated, is testament to the difficulties in maintaining it. The composition of all panels can be found at <https://www.bundesgerichtshof.de/DE/DasGericht/Geschaeftsverteilung/BesetzungSenate/besetzungSenate_node.html> and can be linked to from the "External links" section. — Pajz (talk) 12:16, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fully agree. --Edcolins (talk) 20:14, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
