Sequel?

[edit]

While in the most textbook sense of the term, the game is a sequel to the original Flappy Bird, it may be worth noting that the Gametech suit, and subsequent product and marketing, seem to be actively trying to capitalize on the public not knowing that the trademark was wrested from Nguyen rather than being revived by him.

This wouldn't be notable normally, however Flappy Bird was pulled from circulation precisely because people were being addicted, and the reboot appears to only try and capitalize on that even further.

It's not an sequel of the game, I think it's an unofficial reboot LuuTuyen2k9 (talk) 02:46, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

not "upcoming"

[edit]

This game is already released on Telegram and is fully playable. Daniel Maak (talk) 18:19, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for this? Because the article says that the Telegram version isn't out until October. SleepDeprivedGinger (talk) 23:14, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They're referring to the version released for the "Flap-a-TON" event. The source I cited doesn't consider it a full release, and I wouldn't either, so the "upcoming" label still applies. Jurta talk/he/they 09:26, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
