First in WA
[edit]Article says: Fort Steilacoom was founded by the U.S. Army in 1849 near Lake Steilacoom and was the first military fortification north of the Columbia River in what was to become Washington state. But the US Army also built the "Vancouver Barracks" above Fort Vancouver in 1849. Also some sites like Fort Nisqually and Fort Vancouver itself long predate Fort Steilacoom, even if they were not exactly military sites they were in time used as such by the US. So for clarity I'm rewording the sentence. Pfly (talk) 01:48, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
