The church
[edit]Someone has asked for clarification regarding the claim that the church is a "conventicle church". English Heritage's listing calls it a Chapel of ease. The village website does mention the architecture of the building but not whether it was a conventicle church. The source given for the church: an article on the county council website is a dead link.--Toddy1 (talk) 06:27, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- Funny, when I heard my image was up for POD I checked on what conventicle church meant and was doubtful myself. BHO indicates it was built as a Chapel of Ease and has remained that way throughout its history: N M Herbert, R B Pugh (Editors), A P Baggs, A R J Jurica, W J Sheils (1976). "Sapperton: Church".
