Questions
[edit]@Nawennschon: Hi, I saw your Helpdesk query and have some questions:
- Please can you add citations for unsourced or partially sourced sections such as education or first activities?
- Could you check the translation? I don't have the technical vocabulary myself, but "invisible drawing offices" doesn't look right (and I can't find the phrase elsewhere in a Google search) and I think "eine MEYERsche Konstruktion" must mean something like a Meyer design, not "a MEYER construction". Also "Kugelmeyer" and "Kettenmeyer" should be translated.
- Please could you clarify the achievements? Meyer didn't invent the telescope or the parabolic mirror. The references are offline, so I can't check.

- answer to the three items
- 1. added citations (I just got it)
- 2. translation was incorrect: invisible -> unnoticed construction -> design
- 3. achievements: see Large_Refractor
- (mount for very big astronomical telescopes)
- He was the main designer of the planetarium made at Carl Zeiss Jena for the "Deutsches Museum München", opened 1925. [1] https://blog.deutsches-museum.de/2023/10/13/dem-himmel-so-nah. I will search for a reference in english. --Nawennschon (talk) 20:18, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
