WP:OVERLINK

An IP editor is particularly insistent on adding a link for a cold (in this and one other article, along with allergies).

Colds are perhaps the single most common illness in the word and I am hard-pressed to imagine any native speaker of English in any part of the world being unfamiliar with the illness. Additionally, there is nothing in particular about colds that is less-commonly known that in any way impacts the events of the episode.

Comparing this to WP:OVERLINK, there is no reason to include the link.

The IP editor's only reaction to it being removed here and a request that they discuss the issue has been to restore the link without comment. - SummerPhD^v2.0 23:02, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
