Regarding dictionary entry
[edit]What is the criteria for expansion to make this a non-dictionary entry? Should I include more sentences? More sources? I am ready to do what I can to ensure that this meets Wikipedia's criteria for an encyclopedic entry. Meşteşugarul - U 14:11, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia articles are more extensive than dictionary entries. That is, they describe topics as they exist in the real world (not just define what a word means). There is little chance that an article will be confused with a dictionary entry once it has grown to include subtopic sections, perhaps including among those a see also section and an external links section as well. I hope this explanation helps. By the way, I've expanded the article, and hope that you expand it even further. While doing so, I came across the term fungistasis, which also deserves an article written about it (including a section on soil fungistasis). Ciao. The Transhumanist 14:13, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- @The Transhumanist: Thank you so much for your reply! I noticed you have also updated the article to include more thorough information. You made my day! :) Meşteşugarul - U 21:30, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
