Far more articles were linking to [[gangsters]] expecting to go to gangster than expected to come here, so I have changed the redirect and moved this to a qualified name. Hairy Dude 04:24, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Brightness Levels

[edit]

The config menu for this game is seriously incomplete. Does anyone know how to increase the brightness levels of the game? Changing the brightness outside of the game does not work because brightness levels inside the game and outside our totally different.

Try patchin it mate http://www.sold-out.co.uk/soldout/support/gangsters.html JayKeaton 10:56, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Complex and Confusing?

[edit]

From the article: "This game was heavily criticized for its extreme and intimidating complexity. In many cases, players did not even know the objectives to winning the game. However it was popular with hardcore strategy players."

Though it is POV of me to say that it just doesn't ring true, is there any citation available for this criticism? I never had a manual for Gangsters beyond the in-game tutorial scenarios, and thought it one of the most intuitive management games I've ever played. Until I came here and found out otherwise. Go figure; I'd have never guessed that I was a "hardcore strategy player." Mantic 10:45, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I just read the four linked reviews, and they pretty much back the statement up, though its tone is a bit exaggerated. My personal experiences were the same. I tried to play the game when I was rather new to computer gaming, and I couldn't figure out what to do at all.—Graf Bobby 13:32, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:GangstersBox.jpg

[edit]

Image:GangstersBox.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Is it alright to include in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.118.181.36 (talk) 18:07, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, and I'm removing the link from the talk page. TaintedMustard (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
