Death

[edit]

Word is going around the creative community that Gary has passed, from a heart attack. I do not have a proper "reliable source" to be able to update the article with, but it is worth paying attention to see if one can be found. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:18, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I've got sufficient source. Past-tensing the article now. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:25, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
His last post on his Facebook page was on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 10:43 a.m. and the announcement from his wife was posted at Bleeding Cool within 24 hours, on October 3, 2016. Until an actual obituary appears — if ever — one can infer that the date of death was no earlier than October 2, 2016, and certainly no later than the wee hours of October 3. It's not like he lived alone and someone noticed that he hadn't been heard from in a week or two. The Facebook posting is tagged as being at "Canton, Michigan", although one can't be certain that is where he died, because it is just a parameter that Gary Reed had entered into his Facebook profile. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 17:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
