1.2.1 Alliance and union of the left- not understood[edit]
"During May 1968 in France, the CGT was criticized by the far-left because its leader Georges Séguy had signed the Grenelle agreements with Prime Minister Georges Pompidou, it was _assimilated_ as a betrayal of the revolution." my _emphasis_. Anyone know what this means? For assimilated should we substitute described?
