Gingoog is a very peaceful city, but I dont know why it is considered as first class city

Gingoog is not first class

[edit]

yes you can never consider gingoog as an first class but for me it is the coolest city of all.

please try to know what first class city means before you would comment.........

--- Not a first class city to me. Peaceful yes! many called Gingoog city is a vacation city. The local government tried to introduce the city into it's neighboring cities through it's natural attractions and native characteristics. Unfortunately i been travelling a lot of places, Gingoog is not so well known place to date. Not until a remarkable event or physical attraction will rise. Department of tourism is trying to introduce Gingoog a lot by expressing it's natural wonder of natures. Waterfalls, rivers, mountains. etc.. But then i would suggest they will somehow put attention on other things the city has it's best capacities. - Linux - charro202@yahoo.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.51.29.214 (talk) 05:12, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nicerain123 (talk) 06:45, 13 June 2010 (UTC) Gingoog is a first class city based on the Income Classification of Philippine Cities <http://www.newsbreak.com.ph/democracyandgovernance/Income_Cities.html>. It is a first class city since 1982 <http://gingoog.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=48>. Based on the 2005 revised classification,a city is considered first class if it has an annual income of at least 300,000,000. The city posted an income of 3 15,338,455.00 in year 2006. <http://www.newsbreak.com.ph/democracyandgovernance/IRA-Cities-%282006%29.html> The city's income is mostly generated from agriculture. Majority of the city is covered by agricultural lands may it be thousands of acres of coconut plantation, rice fields, vegetable plantations and fruits. It is currently considered the fruit basket of Region X. However, if you go to the city center, you only see few business establishments and small buildings compared to other Philippine cities. Hence, it is an agri-based city.[reply]

[edit]

There is a discussion regarding the removal of the word "city" from the article titles of Philippine cities. This may imminently affect the article name for Gingoog. For city names which are not unique, disambiguation alternatives are also being presented. Formal request for page move may follow after a reasonable time of discussion. If you wish to participate, please post your comments here. --JinJian (talk) 04:26, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
