Real name?

[edit]

Apparently Greg Ellis is just a stage name (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0254862/ https://twitter.com/ellisgreg). Should this be mentioned or perhaps even move the article? 184.89.18.134 (talk) 12:58, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, this article should be renamed then. Here's the quote on that page "Greg Ellis is not my real (legal) name. Anyone know what it is? The answer: Jonny Rees. I am reverting back to using this name professionally. Turning 16, Actors union required I change my name (another actor had it) so I wrote a list of 30 names & Greg Ellis was 1 of them. It's going to take some time before I am going to say Jonny Rees instead of Greg Ellis... I'll just call it the hot guy with the sexy Cullen voice." I don't know how to rename pages, but someone make the move!  :) --Mrcolj (talk) 21:47, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, neither Jonny Rees nor Greg Ellis is a Filipino name, yet the article says "This name uses Philippine naming customs. The matronymic is Ellis ." Is that something to be corrected? --Mrcolj (talk) 21:47, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The information in the personal life section about me is wrong. Flat out misinformation and lies. I have attempted to correct it multiple times and yet it always gets reverted.

I’ve never supported Donald Trump. I’m a registered Democrat who publicly endorsed Andrew Yang. I’ve no idea who Charlie Kirk is, and I made one appearance on a Jordan Peterson podcast discussing family law.

Please correct the blatant falsehoods peddled about me so that Wikipedia is not false. 23.133.160.26 (talk) 07:44, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Lemonaka (talk) 08:01, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@23.133.160.26 I don't know who you are, I can also state I'm Joe Biden without any responsibility, Wikipedia depend on reliable source, not statement. Lemonaka (talk) 08:02, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am Greg Ellis. I have never supported Donald Trump or Charlie Kirk and am a registered Democrat. Please correct the vandalism on this page about me. 23.133.160.26 (talk) 11:37, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. we cannot reliably prove that it is actually you writing behind that IP, and even if we could, our readers can't. we require sources from credible publishers or news articles to prove points in the article. 💜  melecie  talk - 12:04, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lies About Me

[edit]

Why do you refuse to correct the vandalism and lies about me on my Wikipedia page? If someone published lies about you I’d correct them - particularly after multiple requests. 23.133.160.26 (talk) 11:39, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My Personal Life

[edit]

The moderator of this page about me has semi-locked and editing capabilities. They are protecting misinformation published on this page about my personal life. Wikipedia lacks credibility if a moderator actively supports falsehoods published about me.

Remove the misinformation, correct the lies, reclaim some credibility. 23.133.160.26 (talk) 11:43, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If it really is you, you need to talk to NME, not Wikipedia. They are cited for it as a source. Prinsgezinde (talk) 20:34, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Standards of living biographies

[edit]

The personal unpopularity of Greg Ellis in progressive online circles appears to bias some users toward lower-quality edits.

The “Personal Life” section is continually reverted to three claims: Ellis supports a) Trump, b) Jordan Peterson, and c) Charlie Kirk.

The source for the first claim, NME, does not state how they’ve divined his support for Trump. A cursory search of “Greg Ellis” and “Trump” brings nothing but circular accusations on social media, many of them referencing this Wikipedia article as “proof.”

The source for support for Peterson and Kirk is a personal tweet from 2018 stating he liked out-of-the-box thinkers, referencing Peterson, Kirk, and several others. This is a weak indication of support at best and does not justify a Personal Life section.

Greg Ellis is a contentious figure. If folks are motivated to discuss why, then surely they can fill the section according to a higher standard of quality than currently observed. 2601:444:302:2A60:6046:ECFE:792B:1B39 (talk) 08:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial Topics

[edit]

On May 11th, 2016, Ellis went missing from his home in North Hollywood, causing significant concern among his friends and fans. Fortunately, he was located four days later on May 14th, 2016. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and the details of how he was found remain undisclosed and unknown.

Controversy surrounding JK Rowling casting Ellis in Hogwarts[1] GreatDaneleftbehind2023 (talk) 20:23, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On November 5, 2023, Ellis shared a video on both his Twitter account and YouTube channel that documented the Chenango County, New York [2] Sheriff entering his home on a welfare check on October 24th at 4:00 pm. This situation has sparked some controversy, as Ellis claims he is mentally sound and not suicidal. The Sheriff's deputies entered his property due to concerns arising from his lack of response.

Andy Signore conducted an interview with Ellis about the incident, presumably to shed more light on the situation. Additionally, a Change.org page was initiated by Signore to raise funds for Ellis, though the specific details and purpose of this fundraising effort are not provided in the given information. It's important to remember that these events and claims may have been subject to further developments or discussions since my last knowledge update in September 2021.[3]

I am unsure what the purpose of posting this here is. As well, the language used here is not following a neutral point of view. I have warned this user about spending an inordinate amount of time writing negative things about this actor. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:01, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
